For those wishing to start a career as an apprentice or trainee with TABMA Apprentices and Trainees the first step is to look at the jobs available on our jobs portal and submit your application for the job you are interested in.
Successful candidates are interviewed by both TABMA Apprentices and Trainees and the host employer.
During the probation period TABMA Apprentices and Trainees provides pre-employment training and conducts a workplace assessment.
TABMA Apprentices and Trainees enrols you in, monitors and manages your training with the appropriate registered training organisation (RTO). This training could either be done in your workplace or in a classroom.
Before you start work, TABMA Apprentices and Trainees provides you with pre-employment induction including Occupational Health and Safety.
In some circumstance TABMA Apprentices and Trainees can access free specialist pre-apprenticeship or pre-traineeship training to give you real-life experience and both theoretical knowledge and hands on skills (practical training).
ASSISTANCE IN THE WORKPLACE
We organise and monitor the training delivery. TABMA Apprentices and Trainees monitors you on-site at a minimum of every three months and by phone in between.
TABMA Apprentices and Trainees pays you weekly according to the specific requirements of the industry you have chosen to work in. We manage all workers’ compensation claims and processes plus all other entitlements such as superannuation, tax and workplace insurance.
When you are deemed to be competent and have qualified, then you are ready for full-time employment. Or, you could go on to study higher qualifications in order to make yourself even more attractive as an employee.
