For those wishing to start a career as an apprentice or trainee with TABMA Apprentices and Trainees the first step is to look at the jobs available on our jobs portal and submit your application for the job you are interested in.

INTERVIEW

Successful candidates are interviewed by both TABMA Apprentices and Trainees and the host employer.

WORK READY

During the probation period TABMA Apprentices and Trainees provides pre-employment training and conducts a workplace assessment.

TRAINING

TABMA Apprentices and Trainees enrols apprentices and trainees, monitors and manages their training with the appropriate registered training organisation (RTO). This training could either be done in your workplace or in a classroom.

Before the apprentice or trainee starts work, TABMA Apprentices and Trainees conducts a pre-employment induction including Workplace Health & Safety overview

In some circumstance TABMA Apprentices and Trainees can access free specialist pre-apprenticeship or pre-traineeship training to give applicants real-life experience and both theoretical knowledge and hands on skills (practical training).

ASSISTANCE IN THE WORKPLACE

We organise and monitor the training delivery. TABMA Apprentices and Trainees monitors you on-site at a minimum of every three months and by phone in between.

PAY

TABMA Apprentices and Trainees pays the apprentices and trainees weekly and invoice you as the host employer weekly. The host employer only pays for the time that the apprentice or trainees works with you. We manage all administration and payments including superannuation, salary and workers’ compensation insurance premiums.

We pay the employee wages according to the specific requirements of your industry and manage all workers’ compensation claims and processes plus all other entitlements such as superannuation, tax and workplace insurance.

Once the apprentice or trainee is deemed to be competent and has qualified, then they are ready for full-time employment. Or, they could go on to study higher qualifications in order to make themselves even more attractive as an employee.
