Recruitment Team Leader

Kat (as we affectionately know her in the office) started with the TABMA team in August last year. Since then she has helped our host’s fill positions and found many of you traineeships or apprenticeships. She has also helped to streamline our recruitment process by developing our online systems.

When did you start at TABMA?

I started with TABMA last August as I come from a GTO background, in recruitment and client services. Prior to commencing with TABMA, I worked for the Prostate Cancer Foundation as the National Supporter Care Coordinator. Every role I have had has been focused on people’s engagement. I love helping people!

What skills have you picked up since working at TABMA?

I have been learning so much about our industry and the different types of roles out there that can benefit our members through traineeship and apprenticeship programs and upskilling current staff. In house, the recruitment team has implemented some neat programs to assist with our processes for data management and they have been fun to set up and use!

What is your favourite part of your role?

Listening to people’s personal journeys and assisting young people into the workforce, having a good old chat with our members. I love hearing how many of them were trainees back in the day!

What’s your favourite movie and why?

Aliens. I love a good action sci-fi. Bishop is one of my all-time favourite characters.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

Berlin.  It has such an awesome buzzing vibe, plenty of art, bars, and squirrels!  I love how a city with a dark history, can flourish in modern times.

Do you have any phobias?

Tickles. Even the idea of being tickled makes me feel uneasy!

What pizza topping do you order?

I have travelled to Italy and tried amazing pizza! So, I like minimum toppings with a chewy woodfire base. I am a bit of a pizza snob nowadays!

Do you have pets? If so what are they called?

Two very large cats named Hubert and Enoki. One named after a chef, the other a mushroom.
